Saca La Lengua

Recent scientific studies have highlighted the importance of the set of micro-organisms that live in our bodies, our “human microbiome”, in determining both health and illnesses.

Saca La Lengua (Pull your tongue out), is the first project of citizen science that has been carried out by the Center of Genomic Regulation in Barcelona.

We created an interactive and didactic web experience that takes us through the inside of the human body to learn about the microbiome and spread the word about the important research that has been carried out by the organisation.

The project was presented at the Cosmo Caixa foundation, awarding participant students the opportunity to work side by side with the best scientists of the country.
